Realizing it's been a long time since we last wrote a Reedy Rambling newsletter to our friends and family, we decieded to create a blog site. We hope it brings everyone up to date and allows for a communication tool to all of our dear friends and family.
2008 represents 23 years of marriage, resulting in Colby (22) and Chanteal (almost 19). After years of travel and various career choices, Terry and Lisa find themselves working together in one of the few industries that continues to show economic strength. Both working for Doggie Walk Bags, the company was founded 20 years ago by Lisa's brother Chris. Our work enivronment is best described as chaotic bliss. The majority of employees are family members and neighbors.
Terry is Production/Shipping/Warehouse Manager. Overseeing all production and shipping is a huge task. He also manages our developmentally disabeled adults and high school students who work in our production department. The work is hard and the days long. But the results are great. Orders are shipped out the same day they're received! Terry spends more time grumbling about his golf game than actually playing. His health is good and he's dedicated to walking our Cracker dog regularly.
Lisa is DWB's Strategist. Basically the Mikie of the company. In a moment of frustration and exasperation, Lisa threw her hat in the ring and is making a run for City Council for Costa Mesa. Nine candidates, 3 seats, 2 incumbants. As a long shot candidate, the race has been interesting and full of fireworks. Exciting to be on the ballot with Barack O'Bama!
